My interviews with Steven Moffat for DWM (see last post) were somewhat epic, and inevitably there were wonderful quotes I couldn't squeeze into the articles, for reasons of space. Partly, these were things which were more specific to screenwriting and/or the business.
This weekend, I'll be running 1000 words of world exclusive Moffat on this very blog. Among other things, you'll find out whether he outlines scripts, whether he still pitches and his main advice for budding scribes. So keep checking back, y'hear?
ooh, can't wait!
ReplyDeleteDon't you effing tell me what to do Arnopp! I'll KILL YOU for your outrageous bossiness, y'hear???
ReplyDeleteOh and were you aware that comments need to be approved now, what gives on that??? Afraid too many commenters might talk about nipple tassels, lesbians and cream cakes and thus DRIVE your blog into the very depths of depravity Google searchwise??
ReplyDeleteWhoops.
Yes, Luce, that's all very well. But you WILL come back. You know you will. You bladdy lav it.
ReplyDeleteNipple tassles? Lesbians? Cakes of the cream variety? How did you know my favourite things?
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I will return: damn your beautiful hide!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd how do I know your favourite things?
BECAUSE I LOVE THEM TOO.
I fight this terrible secret so I might save the screenwriting world, but alas I can hold it in no longer.
If the approval thing is to stop people mentioning lesbians and cream, obviously it isn't working.
ReplyDeleteAs for nipple tassels, I sold mine on Ebay last year after they were banned at work.
It's a great idea to write up the Moffat interview from a writer's perspective.
He's the daddy.
Lesbians in cream?!
ReplyDeleteThank God I'm on medication,
Cream covered lesbians and tassles on nipples,
ReplyDeleteJack Dee and Smirnoff and absinthe-type tipples,
Excited young writers tied up in strings,
These are a few of your favourite things...
Arnopp, as usual you are a cocktease - the weekend is nearly over, and you're keeping us hanging.
ReplyDeleteBring on the Moff!
